Yes. All caregivers are screened for communication skills and must speak clear English.

We carefully hire through referrals, community networks, and trusted channels. Each candidate passes interviews, background checks, reference checks, and skill assessments. Caregivers also receive ongoing training, including dementia care, safety, and client service.

We conduct in-home assessments to understand your needs, preferences, and loved one’s personality. Based on this, we recommend caregivers who are then introduced to your family for approval

All Comfort Angels caregivers are W-2 employees, not independent contractors. This means we handle payroll, taxes, insurance, and workers’ compensation, families are never responsible for these issues.

If a caregiver is not the right fit, we’ll work with you immediately to provide a replacement who better suits your needs.

We’re licensed to serve families across the entire state of Illinois, giving us the flexibility to support care wherever it’s needed.
While we have the ability to reach any community in the state, our primary focus remains in and around the North Shore area, where we’re most active and deeply connected. This allows us to deliver attentive, reliable support while still being available to assist clients statewide whenever the need arises.

Personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting), companionship and emotional support, meal preparation and light housekeeping, laundry and household tasks, medication reminders, transportation and errands, mobility support and exercise reminders.

As a non-medical agency, our caregivers cannot perform medical procedures such as wound care or administering injections. However, we can support clients with wellness routines and coordinate with healthcare providers when needed.
Services Provided?

Rates are determined after a free assessment and depend on care needs, number of people in the home, and location.
Hourly care generally ranges from $35–$39 per hour, while live-in care ranges $525–$585 per day depending on household and care level.

Fees and Billing?

We use time-tracking systems, regular supervisor check-ins, and in-home visits. Supervisors also remain available by phone to families and caregivers at all times.

All caregivers are covered under Comfort Angels’ workers’ compensation insurance. Families are not liable

Yes. We carry a crime and fidelity insurance policy for added peace of mind.

In the unlikely event of an absence, our supervisors immediately send a replacement caregiver or step in themselves so care is never interrupted.

Yes.
Comfort Angels provides 24/7 on-call support. For emergencies, caregivers call 911 first, then notify our supervisor. Families are always updated promptly.

Each plan is personalized and may include daily routines, personal care assistance, wellness support, companionship, transportation, and household help.
